ABOUT UNDONE COUNSELING
Undone Counseling is a woman owned, boutique practice. My name is Kate Bramhall (she/her/hers). I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor and have held a Masters in Counseling for over 20 years.
As a Rogerian trained therapist who leans organically toward feminist counseling theories; I work from an inclusive person-centered foundation. I encourage clients to turn inward to identify and achieve goals and my role is to support this process by following client’s guidance and intuition. I aim to offer neurodivergent affirming therapy with services catered to individual needs. I am EMDR trained by the EMDR Institute and I am working with Polaris Insight Center on my Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) certification.
Areas of Focus
Psychotherapy
Undone Counseling is a psychotherapeutic practice serving individuals seeking self exploration and growth. Psychotherapy begins the path to healing and fluid self actualization and offers the reflective space to support personal evolution. Psychotherapy looks different for everyone. It might be a mending of past trauma and grief or an undoing of ideas and systems that no longer serve you.
It is a beautiful unraveling of parts of self and an excavation of our history in discovery of who we are and who we will become. I use varied techniques to support clients in the exploration of psyche and growth of self. Please reach out if you are interested in psychotherapy.
EMDR
The EMDR Institute states that EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help clients reprocess traumatic or disturbing events in their past. Clients report a relatively quick alleviation of symptoms caused by unprocessed memories.

PSYCHEDELIC PREPARATION AND INTEGRATION
This is such an exciting time in the field of psychotherapy as we are seeing a huge emergence of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAP). PAP offers a new approach to psychological healing. Psychedelics quiet the fear center of the brain, allowing clients to explore disturbing memories or emotions openly and with less pain. Modern medicine such as anti-depressants provide relief to many but they also serve the purpose of numbing. With the right support, psychedelic medicines awake, heal and foster mental and spiritual growth. PAP offers unique ways to interact with the psyche that may present new ideas, connections and thoughts. PAP relies on Inner Healing Intelligence and trusting that our minds know what needs to be healed and where we need go during treatment.
Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) is now available in Maryland and I offer both preparation and integration sessions for this treatment. Preparation sessions will prepare you for your journey with the medicine and integration sessions support you in processing your experience and weaving it into daily life. Following dosing sessions, the brain experiences high levels neuroplasticity that gives way for opportunities to break free from unwanted habitual thoughts and behaviors and to form new practices that serve the self. Integration sessions help to identify goals, make meaning of the dosing sessions and holistically incorporate the experience into daily life.
For many, KAP can provide relief from treatment resistant depression, anxiety, symptoms of trauma and suicidal ideation. It often garners a deeper connectivity to self, others and the world. Many say that their experience with these medicines are ineffable; they do not have words to explain the experience as it can be so unique and profound.
Please reach out if you are interested in KAP support.
NEURODIVERGENT AFFIRMING CARE
While Undone Counseling serves all neurotypes, I strive to be a neurodivergent affirming practice and feel called to highlight this population. Born from the experience of navigating gaps in mental health care for my autistic daughter and for our family, my mission is to provide effective and equitable therapeutic support for anyone seeking services. I hope to cultivate an atmosphere where every story is honored, clients' strengths are highlighted and challenges are met with compassion. There is so much to discover about mental health and neurodivergent minds and I am always open to new ideas and insights.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently from the average or “neurotypical” person. This may be differences in social preferences, ways of learning, ways of communicating and/or ways of perceiving the environment. Because of this, a neurodivergent person has different struggles and unique strengths.
